Spurned lover attacks Class IX girl in Odisha’s Balasore

Balasore: A spurned lover allegedly attacked a Class IX girl student after she refused his love proposal.

The youth allegedly attacked the minor girl with a sharp weapon while she was on her way to attend tuition classes.

The incident occurred at Tuta village under Khaira block in Balasore district.

The accused has been identified as Rashmi Ranjan Dash of Tuta village.

The victim has been hospitalised following the incident.

According to reports, the accused proposed to the girl. But the girl rejected his proposal.

The victim’s family had reprimanded the youth to refrain from disturbing the girl. However, the enraged youth lost his cool and attacked the girl with a sharp weapon while she was going to attend her coaching class at the village today morning.
