42 Covid deaths reported in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: As many as 3405 fresh Covid cases and 42 deaths were reported in Odisha on Tuesday.

With this, the total death cases in the State now stood at 3388.

However, Covid-19 cases are gradually coming down in Odisha. The State recorded 3405 new cases on Tuesday while 4339 cases were reported yesterday.

A total of 56807 samples were tested in the State during the past 24 hours. The Test Positivity Rate (TPR) has also gone down to 5.99 per cent today from 6.33 per cent yesterday.

The total Covid cases in the State reached to 8,59,526. The Covid-19 active case tally now stands at 51,104 in the State. So far, 8,04,981 patients have recovered.

Khurda district reported highest 500 fresh infections, followed by Jajpur (391) and Balasore (296). Lowest 9 cases were reported in Jharsuguda.
