Prime accused arrested in fake Covid-19 medicines case

Bhubaneswar: The STF of Odisha Crime Branch on Thursday arrested the Managing Director (MD) of Medilloyd Medicament in connection with the sale of spurious COVID-19 medicine in the State.

Siba Prasanna Jena, managing director of Medilloyd Medicament Pvt Ltd (MMPL), has been arrested by STF and being forwarded to the court, informed DGP Abhay.

Yesterday, 3 accused persons were arrested.

Further, STF has also located and frozen more than Rs 50 lakh in the bank accounts of the accused and the above company.
