Home guard arrested for cheating youths in Dhenkanal

Dhenkanal: A home guard in Odisha’s Dhenkanal district has been arrested for allegedly cheating several youths on pretext of providing jobs.

The accused has been identified as Jagabandhu Parida. Parida works as a driver with the Kamakshyanagar police station in Dhenkanal district.

Police said that Parida cheated Rs 20,000 to a youth identified as Amit Patnaik promising him a job.

Patnaik subsequently lodged a police complaint and basing on the complaint, the home guard was arrested.

Further investigation revealed Parida has duped several others.
