Cuttack: The Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Odisha on Tuesday announced that the annual Class-10th (Matric) examinations will be held in offline mode in July.
The students who are not satisfied with the marks awarded to them through the alternative assessment system can sit in the offline mode of examinations.
The board had cancelled the Matric exams for this year due to the COVID-19 situation. An alternative assessment method was adopted by the BSE for marking.
As per the decision, the form fill up for the offline exams will start from July 5 and continue till July 15.
The exams will be conducted in the very month while the results will be published within ten days to ensure hassle-free admission of the students into +2 courses, said BSE Secretary Ramashis Hazra.
The marks scored by a student in the offline exams will be considered as his/her final marks while the alternative assessment method’s score will not be taken into account in the case of the students opting for offline exams, the official said.
