Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) has issued a notification for recruitment to 385 posts of Assistant Professor in different disciplines of Government Teachers Training Institutes under the Department of Higher Education.
As many as 385 posts of Assistant Professor (Teacher Education) -Stage-1 will be filled up through the recruitment examination.
The application process will commence on August 25.
The link for online registration and payment of examination fees will be made available on the official website of OPSC, www.opsc.gov.in.
The last date for submission of registered online application is October 1.
Eligibility criteria
Age: 21-45 years as on October 1, 2021.
The upper age limit is relaxable by 05 (five) years for candidates belonging to SC/ST/SEBC /Women and by 10 years for PWDs whose permanent disability is 40% and more.
Educational qualification:
A candidate must have a Master’s degree for the post of Assistant Professor with at least 55% marks in the concerned subject/field and cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) meant for Assistant Professor (Stage 1) or must have acquired a PhD Degree.
Provided that for the candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, SEBC & Persons with Disabilities categories, the requirement of securing at least 55% marks shall be reduced to 50% marks or its equivalent grade.
Application fee:
A candidate is required to pay a non-refundable and non-adjustable fee of Rs 400. Candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe of Odisha and Persons with Disabilities (whose permanent disability is 40% and more) are exempted from payment of this fee.
