Brown sugar worth over Rs 1 cr seized in Odisha, 1 arrested

Bhubaneswar: A team of Special Task Force (STF) on Friday seized brown sugar over Rs 1 crore in Odisha’s Puri and arrested one person in this connection.

The arrested person has been identified as Imtiaz Khan.

Acting on intelligence input, the STF team intercepted the accused at Pipili-Nimapara over bridge and recovered 1.48 kg brown sugar worth over Rs 1 crore from his possession.

He will be forwarded to a local court in Puri. A case has been registered under section 21(c) 29 of NDPS Act, 1985.
