Cuttack: Brown sugar worth over Rs 1 cr seized, 6 held

Cuttack: The Commissionerate Police has seized brown sugar worth over Rs 1 crore in Cuttack and arrested six persons in this connection.

Lalbag Police and Special Squad have seized 1.159 kg of brown sugar worth over one crore rupees from Cuttack. The arrested persons have previous criminal records, said Twin City Police Commissioner Soumendra Priyadarshi.

He said more than 6 kg of brown sugar has been seized in the twin city in last 5 months.

The Commissionerate police aims to make Cuttack and Bhubaneswar drugs-free, said Priyadarshi.
