Disproportionate assets: Bargarh PEO in Vigilance scanner

Bhubaneswar: The Vigilance sleuths on Thursday conducted simultaneous raids at the properties linked to a Panchayat Executive Officer (PEO) in Odisha’s Bargarh district on a disproportionate assets case.

The sleuths conducted raids at three places of Anil Kumar Padhi, PEO at Beherapali gram panchayat.

Three teams comprising 1 DSP, 3 Inspectors, and other staff conducted searches on the allegation of possession of disproportionate assets.

One double-storeyed building, one plot, and cash of Rs 69000 unearthed so far. Search is in progress, said the Vigilance.
