Brown sugar worth Rs 15 lakh seized in Odisha’s Balasore

Bhubaneswar: The Excise department personnel have seized 150 grams of brown sugar worth around Rs 15 lakh in Odisha’s Balasore district, said an official on Friday.

Two persons including a woman have been detained in this connection.

Acting on a tip-off, the excise officials conducted a raid at Chalanti chhak on NH-16 in Balasore and seized the brown sugar.

Besides, one car has been seized.
