First ECMO treatment at Cuttack SCB Hospital

Cuttack: ECMO treatment has started at SCB Medical College & Hospital in Cuttack.

A critically ill Covid-19 patient from Nischintakoili area is on ECMO support at the hospital.

Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik had on Friday inaugurated 9 ECMO machines installed at the premier state-run hospital.

It is the biggest ECMO Unit in Eastern India and the largest government facility in the country to provide expensive treatment free of cost.
