Bhubaneswar: A total of 57,614 sharecroppers have received assistance under KALIA Yojana in Odisha.
The sharecroppers of Ganjam district received the highest assistance under the Krushak Assistance for Livelihood and Income Augmentation (KALIA) programme.
As many as 14,531 farmers of the district have been assisted under KALIA, Agriculture Minister Arun Kumar Sahu told the state assembly on Wednesday.

Replying to a question in Odisha Assembly, Sahu said that as many as 36,98,018 small and marginal farmers across the state have been benefited under KALIA scheme.
Besides, as many as 17,89,103 landless beneficiaries have availed the assistance.
However, the landless farmers who availed KALIA assistance are not enrolled as per the guidelines of PM Kissan, said Sahu.
