Naveen lays foundation stone for Adarsha Vidyalaya; appoints 443 teachers


Bhubaneswar: On the occasion of Teacher’s Day, Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Sunday laid the foundation stone for the iconic Adarsha Vidyalaya in Bhubaneswar through virtual mode.

The special school will come up on 25 acres of land at Andharua, on the outskirt of Bhubaneswar.

The project will be developed within a year at a cost of around Rs 100 crore.

It will provide formal education along with technical and Subject Oriented Practical Training(SOPT) to the higher secondary students and teachers of the Adarsha Vidyalayas, launched in every district in order to impart free education to rural talents.

The Excellence Centre will incorporate sophisticated smart classrooms, world-class laboratories, e-libraries, and computer hubs to impart global standard education.

On this occasion, the Chief Minister appointed 443 teachers in different Adarsha Vidyalayas.
