Bhubaneswar: ESL Steel Ltd has won the Nadidih iron ore block (BICO) at a premium of 95.6%, said an official on Monday.
The mines is located in Koira area of Sundargarh. The entire leasehold area of 73.855 Ha has been explored up to G2 level of exploration.
As many as five companies were in the race for the Nadidih iron ore block (BICO).
Earlier, Naveen Jindal-led Jindal Steel and Power Limited (JSPL) bagged the Kasia iron ore and dolomite block in the ongoing auction process in Odisha.
As many as seven top mining and metal platers, including JSPL, Essel Mining, Tata, Rungta, MSPL, ArcelorMittal and Electrosteel were in the race for the mining block.
