Bhubaneswar: AIIMS Bhubaneswar is going to strengthen its super speciality services. Adding another feather in its cap, AIIMS Bhubaneswar’s Surgical Gastroenterology and Nephrology Departments are going to start super speciality courses soon.
The MCh Course in Surgical Gastroenterology and DM Course in Nephrology Departments are proposed to be started shortly at AIIMS Bhubaneswar.
After successful inspection of expert teams, the proposed MCh and DM courses in both the Departments is going to start very soon. Team of experts from AIIMS New Delhi, JIPMER Puducherry and SCB Medical College and Hospital, Cuttack inspected both the Departments at AIIMS on 21st and 25th of this month.
The team visited both the Departments and inspected infrastructure, research facility, faculty position and several other things. The inspection teams have expressed their satisfaction over the same. This will pave the way for having the Superspeciality DM/MCh 02 seats per year in both the Departments subject to approval of the Academic Committee. Now, total 16 Departments will have DM/MCh seats at AIIMS Bhubaneswar.
Speaking on the above Dr. Gitanjali Batmanabane, a leading Medical Educationist and AIIMS Bhubaneswar Director has reiterated AIIMS Bhubaneswar’s commitment for quality health care service.
After starting of these courses now there will be more research oriented work in Surgical Gastroenterology and Nephrology Departments. It will certainly boost quality health care facilities, said Dr. Gitanjali.
