Commemorative my stamp on SOA University released

Bhubaneswar: A commemorative My Stamp designed to commemorate the 25 years of Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan (SOA) was released by SOA’s Founder President Prof. (Dr.) Manojranjan Nayak here on Friday.

The stamp, a combination of the SOA logo and the image of the Sun Temple of Konark, has been priced at Rs. 5.

Founded in 1996, SOA has completed 25 years in the service of education and health care. It runs a multi-disciplinary deemed to be university which runs nine different institutions imparting professional education in various subjects including engineering and technology, medical sciences, pharmaceutical sciences, dental sciences, management sciences, legal studies, nursing, hospitality and tourism management and agricultural sciences.

The Institute of Medical Sciences and SUM Hospital, SOA’s faculty of medicine, has become one of the most popular healthcare centres in the east while it extended yeoman service in Odisha’s battle against Covid-19. SOA has also set up SUM Ultimate Medicare, a one-stop, next-generation multi-super specialty quaternary care hospital which has emerged as a world class wellness destination.

SOA has been ranked 20^th in the country among universities in the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) ranking in 2021.

Releasing the stamp, Prof. Nayak described it as an occasion of great happiness while urging all co-workers to rededicate themselves in the service of the nation in education and healthcare. It was a happy coincidence that the country was celebrating Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav to mark the 75^th anniversary of independence this year.
