Omicron: Nandankanan Zoological Park to remain closed

Bhubaneswar: The Nandankanan Zoological Park and State Botanical Garden will remain temporarily closed for visitors from December 30 to January 3 as a precautionary measure against the spread of new Covid variant Omicron.

Earlier on Wednesday, Nandankanan zoo celebrated its 62nd Foundation Day. On this special occasion, an Indian pangolin has been released into the forest.

Also, six tiger cubs were named Sohini, Abhay, Bibek, Rocky, Banshi, and Rakesh. The names were given following the recommendation of the visitors.
