Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas welcome their first child via surrogacy

Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas have welcomed a baby via surrogacy.

The couple, who got married in 2018, made the announcement on Saturday, on social media.

 “We are overjoyed to confirm that we have welcomed a baby via surrogate. We respectfully ask for privacy during this special time as we focus on our family. Thank you so much,” Priyanka wrote.

Nick also posted the same message on his Instagram page.

They did not share the baby’s name or sex.

Priyanka had earlier spoken about her desire to become a mother.

In a recent interview to Vanity Fair magazine, she said, “They (kids) are a big part of our desire for the future. By God’s grace, when it happens, it happens.”
