Soro bus mishap: Odisha CM announces ex-gratia

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Saturday announced ex-gratia of Rs 2 lakh to the kin of each who have lost their lives in the tragic bus mishap at Soro in Balasore district. 

Patnaik directed authorities to ensure the best treatment possible to all who have sustained injuries in the accident.

At least six persons were killed after a passenger bus was hit by a truck on National Highway 16 near Bidu Chowk in Balasore district on Saturday.

The bus en route to Bhubaneswar from Balasore was stationary when it was hit by a coal-laden truck from the rear. As a result, it fell off the roadside from a height of about 10-feet.
