Mo School to develop leadership affirmity among Head Teachers


Bhubaneswar: An effective school is one where concern for learners is given priority. The 100 Schools Programme of Mo School Abhiyan focuses on holistic development of selected high schools across the state with representation of at least 3 schools from each district for overall aspirational change in the school eco-system and thereby resulting to excellence in academic as well as co-academic areas.

The primary objective of the programme is to demonstrate pre-determined components of quality pertaining to not only to school environment, but also curricular and co-curricular components and most importantly strengthened School-Community partnerships. The programme also gives emphasis on utility of the assets and digital infrastructures created by the state government.   

School Leadership Training Programme emphasizes towards bringing true leadership potential of Head Teachers of 100 high schools of Odisha. The training will help in mastering strategic leadership tools among head teachers, visioning exercises, establishing learning centered culture in schools and goal setting approach to achieve it.

The inaugural day witnessed participation of 36 head teachers from central zone. Experts from diverse fields joined the training programme to train and upgrade the skills of head teachers. Speaking on the occasion, Mo School Programme Officer Sri Abhinash Satpathy appreciated the role of head teachers in the effective management of school affairs and imparting quality education to all students. Mo School is committed to provide equal importance to infrastructure development and academic enrichment in government and government-aided schools of Odisha, he added.  

The three days residential training programme will be conducted in 3 revenue zones i.e., Central, South and North zone. Training programme for Central Zone, inaugurated on Friday at Gopabandhu Academy of Administration, Bhubaneswar will conclude on 27th March, 2022. South Zone training programme will commence from 28th March 2022 at Koraput Govt. Girls High School Campus and North Zone programme will be organised at DIET Sambalpur from 31st March 2022. The training programme is being conducted in collaboration with People for Action as knowledge and technical partner.

The schools were selected in due consultation with respective district education offices with primary focus on heritage schools, schools with regular head teachers and schools adopted by eminent mentors.
