Bank holidays in April: Banks to remain closed from April 14 to 17


Bank Holiday in April 2022: The banks will remain closed for as many as four days this week in India. All private and public sectors banks will remain closed from April 14, to April 17 on the account of various occasions.
According to reports, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has announced holidays for lenders under these categories – the Negotiable Instruments Act, Holiday, Real Time Gross Settlement Holiday, and Banks’ Closing of Accounts.
April 14:
Banks will be closed in all States except for Meghalaya and Himachal Pradesh on the occasion of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Jayanti/Mahavir Jayanti/Baisakhi/Vaisakhi/Tamil New Year’s Day/Cheiraoba/Biju Festival/Bohag Bihu.

April 15:
Banks will be closed except Rajasthan, Jammu and Srinagar due to Good Friday/Bengali New Year’s Day (Nababarsha)/Himachal Day/Vishu/Bohag Bihu.
Besides, the banks will remain closed on April 16 as it is the second Saturday and the banks will also remain shut on April 17 for Sunday
All the important work must be completed before April 14. If you have any important work related to the bank, then plan it accordingly keeping in mind the holidays this week.
