Bhubaneswar: The Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) has postponed and rescheduled three papers of the annual examination of the Plus-II students due to the by-election to the Brajarajnagar Assembly Constituency.
The examinations of Mathematics (Arts/Science), Home Science (Arts) and BFC-Biology (vocational) papers, which were scheduled to be held on May 31, will be held on June 4, informed the council in a notification.
The Scholl and Mass Education Department has approved this, informed the CHSE. The Examinations scheduled from May 21 to May 28 will be held as per earlier schedule, stated the notification.
The by-poll has been necessitated following the death of sitting BJD MLA Kishore Kumar Mohanty on December 30, last year. The Election Commission of India has announced May 31, 2022, as the date for the by-election to the Assembly seat. Voting will be held from 7 am to 6 pm.
