Koraput: Cluster resource centre coordinator held for accepting Rs 20,000 bribe

Singhsethi Kissan Kumar, Cluster Resource Centre Coordinator (CRCC), Bijaghati Section, office of Narayanpatna block education office has been apprehended by Odisha Vigilance for demanding and accepting bribe of Rs 20,000 from an assistant teacher) for updating service records and facilitating drawl of his promotional salary in his present posting under Boipariguda block.

Based on a complaint, a trap was laid where Kumar was caught by the team of Odisha Vigilance in a “Grahaka Seva Kendra”, Narayanpatna while demanding and accepting Rs 20,000from the complainant.

The entire bribe money was recovered from the possession of Kumar and seized in presence of witnesses. Both hands wash of Kumar gave positive chemical reaction, confirming acceptance and handling of bribe money by him, informed official.  

Following the trap, simultaneous searches have been launched on the residential house of Kumar and office chamber at Narayanpatna, Koraput.

He will be forwarded to the Court, informed officials.
