Kandhamal: PIA project associate held for accepting bribe of Rs 50k

Kandhamal: Nagendra Nath Swain, Project Associate of PIA (Project Implementing Agency) Office, Tumudibandha , Baliguda in Kandhamal district has been apprehended by Odisha Vigilance at Kutamgada while demanding and accepting bribe Rs 50,000.

According to information, Swain was accepting the bribe from a complainant for processing the bills towards payment for execution of farm ponds by four beneficiaries Dupi and Edipadar villages.

The entire bribe money has been recovered from Swain and seized, informed Vigilance official.

 Investigation is in progress against Swain, added officials.
