Dhenkanal: Junior assistant of Kamakhyanagar BEO in Vigilance net

Dhenkanal: The Vigilance sleuths today apprehended a junior assistant of Kamakhyanagar block education officer (BEO) in Dhenkanal district for demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs 10,000.

The accused has been identified as Jibanananda Satpathy. Satpathy was caught red handed by the Vigilance officials while demanding and accepting bribe Rs 10,000 from a headmaster of a primary school for facilitating the release of his arrear salary.

The entire bribe money of Rs 10,000 has been recovered and seized from the exclusive possession of Satpathy, informed officials.

Following trap, simultaneous searches are being conducted at two places in Dhenkanal district. In this connection a case (33/2022) has been registered under Sections 7 of PC Act.
