Agneepath Scheme: Agniveers to get 10% reservation for CAPFs & Assam Rifles recruitment


New Delhi: The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) today announced 10 per cent reservations for Agniveers in the recruitment for Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) and Assam Rifles. This was informed by the MHA on Twitter today.

“The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) decides to reserve 10% vacancies for recruitment in CAPFs and Assam Rifles for Agniveers. The MHA also decides to give 3 years age relaxation beyond the prescribed upper age limit to Agniveers for recruitment in CAPFs & Assam Rifles. Further, for the first batch of Agniveer, the age relaxation will be for 5 years beyond the prescribed upper age limit,” informed Ministry of Home Affairs on Twitter.

Agnipath scheme has been designed to enable a youthful profile of the Armed Forces. It will provide an opportunity to the youth who may be keen to don the uniform by attracting young talent from the society who are more in tune with contemporary technological trends and plough back skilled, disciplined and motivated manpower into the society.
