Draupadi Murmu’s nomination for presidential polls: BJD extends support

Bhubaneswar: Biju Janata Dal (BJD) president and Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Tuesday congratulated Draupadi Murmu after she was picked as the BJP-led NDA candidate for the presidential elections.

Patnaik said the nomination of Murmu is a proud moment for the people of Odisha.

“I am sure Smt Murmu will set a shining example for women empowerment in the country,” he further tweeted.

After the tweets of the Chief Minister, it’s abundantly clear that BJD will support Draupadi Murmu for the highest office of the country.
