Fake notes worth over Rs 14 lakh seized in Odisha’s Bargarh; 2 held


On the basis of reliable information, STF with the help of Baragarh District Police detected a case of illegal business of Fake Indian Currency Notes (FICN) today at Barapalli under Baragarh district.

Two persons– Pattu Yadav (53) of Utter Pradesh at present residing at Sikirdi, Ketapalli in Burla and Balaram Meher of Mahatompada in Barpali of Baragarh district were apprehended.

During the search, Fake Indian Currency Notes (FICN) of Rs 14,29,500 and other incriminating articles were recovered and seized from their possession. A case has been registered at Baragarh Police Station for necessary legal action.
