CSM Tech listed as participant on UN Climate Neutral Now initiative

Bhubaneswar: The United Nations Framework on Climate Change (UNFCC) secretariat has enrolled CSM Tech as a participant in its Climate Neutral Now initiative.
Climate Neutral Now was launched in 2015 with the goal of encouraging and supporting all levels of society to take climate action to achieve a climate neutral (net zero) world by midcentury, as enshrined in the Paris Agreement adopted the same year.
“We greatly value your support in achieving the goals of the Paris Agreement and creating a more sustainable future. We look forward to working with your organization to achieve the global climate neutrality ambition”, the UNFCC said in a written communication on CSM Tech’s enrolment.
It may be noted that worldwide more than 3,000 companies have made net-zero commitments as part of the United Nation’s “Race to Zero” campaign. CSM Tech, too, is committed to contribute towards decarbonizing the economy and building the ‘Green’ momentum.
Priyadarshi Nanu Pany, CEO of CSM Tech said, “We are delighted to have been enlisted as a participant in the UNFCC Climate Neutral Now Initiative. I believe that India’s transition to a net zero economy can save lives, catalyze new industries, create millions of new jobs and unlock immense economic value. Through disruptive solutions, we will advocate the use of clean tech and take all possible steps to realize the net zero goal by decoupling business growth from emissions”.
“We will shortly craft our ESG (Environment, Social & Governance) report, detailing an assessment of the GHG emissions and articulating a roadmap for staggered reduction in carbon footprint, leading to a net zero status”, he added.
India is the third largest GHG emitter in the world, behind the United States and China1. Five sectors – energy, agriculture, industry, transportation and infrastructure/buildings – contribute to more than 96 per cent of India’s GHG emissions today. The country’s net zero transition will need an ambitious multi-decade effort to transform each of these sectors.
