Police arrested a man for allegedly stealing women’s undergarments in Bhubaneswar.
The accused have been identified as Pritiranjan Behera, a native of Khajuripada in Kandhamal district and currently residing in Bhoisahi in Baramunda area of the city.
According to reports, the police have recovered more than 50 bras from the possession of Behera. One Rupali Srinibas Parida owns a garment shop in Kalinga Vihar. It had come to his notice that ladies inners are being theft from the shop. On August 30, the owner of the shop found Behera stealing the inners by breaking the window of the shop. As he raised alarm, Behera fled from the spot.
Later, the shop owner filed a written complaint at Bharatpur police station, basing on which police registered a case and arrested Behera. The local residents said the man ‘appeared to be of a perverted mindset’ since he was stealing only women’s clothes.
