The Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) officials today cancelled food registration of Bhubaneswar famous Kishore Bhaina Mutton hotel near Doordarshan Kendra for selling stale food.
According to BMC officials, Kishore Bhaina Mutton hotel has been selling food using expired sauces and also stale crabs. The officials also destroyed the food.
This apart, the hotel was slapped with fine for not maintaining hygiene.
“The food safety team of BMC today inspected shops near Doordarshan. Food colours, expired sauces & also stale crabs at restaurant were destroyed. Food registration cancelled & penalty also imposed for poor sanitation,” said BMC on Twitter.
It may be noted that, Kishore Bhaina Mutton hotel was quite popular among food lovers. This hotel reportedly sells around 200kg mutton.
