Odisha Cabinet led by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has approved creation of 120 new posts in Odisha Secretariat Service(OSS) Cadre at Group-A level. The addition of new posts will ensure effective monitoring, implementation of schemes and timely delivery of services under 5T framework.
For providing secretarial support to the officers of the State Administration in the Secretariat to deliver fast public services in time, the State Government have earlier introduced the service cadre namely, “Odisha Secretariat Executive Assistant/Personal Assistant/Private Secretary Services Cadre” in Home Department.
In order to gear up the administration by providing experienced senior secretarial supporting staff to the officers in the Secretariat, the Government have felt it necessary to upgrade 25 (Twenty-five)no. of different posts i.e. in the grade of Senior Private Secretary (11 posts), Principal Private Secretary (8 posts), Senior Principal Private Secretary (5 posts) and Superintendent & ex-officio Additional Secretary (1 post) in lieu of abolition of 25 (Twenty-five)no. of vacant posts i.e. Junior Executive Assistant (9 posts), Senior Executive Assistant (9 posts), Personal Assistant (4 posts) and Private Secretary (3 posts) from Group-C and Group-B posts in the Odisha Secretariat Exe. Asst./PA/PS Cadre in Home Department.
