BMC issues guidelines for road side food outlets

Bhubaneswar: Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) on Friday issued strict norms for street food vendors.

No food outlet in Bhubaneswar will be allowed on road, footpath and drain, said a BMC order.

Food vendors have to wear clean dress, cap, apron, hand gloves, mask and keep two dustbins for better hygiene and sanitation.

Keeping sanitation, public health and hassle free movement of citizens in view, BMC has come out with the guideline for food outlets.

BMC has issued protocols for road side food outlets.

This will be followed with immediate effect for ensuring improved sanitation and hygiene of the capital city with active participation of citizens.
