The state government on Thursday declared October 25 (Tuesday) as a public holiday on account of a solar eclipse.
All the government offices, educational institutes, schools, colleges, revenue and magisterial courts, banks and banking institutes will remain closed on the day.
“The State Government has declared a holiday on Tuesday (October 25) due to the solar eclipse. All the government offices, schools, colleges, educational institutions, revenue courts, banks and other banking institutions will remain closed on this day,” said the Chief Minister’s Office.
On this day banks will remain closed. On October 24, banks will be also remain closed for Kali Puja/Deepavali/Diwali (Laxmi Pujan)/Naraka Chaturdashi.
On this day, banks will be closed across India, except in Gangtok, Hyderabad, Imphal.
