Raids on bars for norm violation in Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: The Excise officials and Laxmisagar police personnel jointly conducted raids at several bars in the city on Monday.

The raids were carried out to check the disobedience of norms and rules by night clubs and bars in the capital city.

The raids once again exposed rampant violation of existing norms by several night clubs and bars.

According to reports, the Excise officials and the laxmisagar police conducted raids at Ekamra, Deepali, Pentagon, Rain The Club, Live It Up and Rangila bars in the city and verified their documents. However, the cops issued notices to two bars for norm violaton.

During the raid, Rangila Bar and Ekamra Bar were found open beyond permitted time. Many customers were also found present inside the bar beyond the specified time and enjoying the dance floor and bar.

Following which the police served them showcase.
