Odisha: Asst Engineer in Vigilance net; raids underway at 4 places


Bhubaneswar: The Vigilance officials on Saturday conducted raids on the properties belonging to Assistant Engineer of Raygada Panchayat Samiti in Gajapati district on the charges of acquisition of disproportionate assets.

The accused has been identified as Dilip Kumar Sahu.

“On the allegation of acquisition of disproportionate assets by Sahu, simultaneous house searches are being conducted by Odisha Vigilance led by one Additional SP, five Inspectors, two ASIs and other staff on the strength of search warrants issued by Special Judge, Vigilance, Berhampur at the following four places in Berhampur, Digapahandi and R.Udayagiri,” said Vigilance in a statement.

The raids are being carried out at residential flat at Spectrum Malati Residency in Gopabandhu Nagar, Berhampur, double storeyed house at Jyoti Nagar in Berhampur, Office chamber at Digapahandi and residential Govt quarter at Cheligada in R Udaygiri.
