Special OTET 2022: 57% teachers clear exam after revised valuation


Cuttack: As many as 57 percent teachers have cleared the Special Odisha Teacher Eligibility Test (Special OTET 2022) after revaluation of examination papers.

Earlier, only 49.84 pecent teachers had cleared the test.

However, candidates had staged a sit-in in front of the Board of Secondary Education (BSE) office here alleging anomaly in valuation process.

After revaluation, 2200 more teachers have cleared the test, totaling the number to 18,371 which was 16,171 earlier.

The BSE administration said that some errors were found in the answer sheet prepared by it and that have been rectified.

The BSE had released the SOTET Result 2022 for both Paper 1 and Paper 2 on January 10. The OTET Paper 1 is for Class 1 to 5 teachers and Paper 2 is for Class 6 to 8th teachers. Both papers were held separately.

General category candidates who have scored a minimum of 60 percent marks will be declared qualified in the exam. For SC/ST/OBC/SEBC/PwD candidates, the minimum qualifying mark is 45 per cent.
