Bhubaneswar civic body officer detained for misbehaving with actress

Bhubaneswar: A deputy commissioner of Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) has landed in trouble after a young woman accused him of misbehavior with her. The police have detained the BMC officer in this connection.

According to the information, the accused had asked for undue favour from the actress by promising her to cast in an Odia album. As the young woman opposed him, he allegedly assaulted her verbally and misbehaved with her. Later, the victim filed a written complaint at Lingaraj police station, basing on which the police detained the accused.

On the other hand, the accused refuted all the allegations against him and said that the girl had taken Rs four lakh from him. As he asked her to returned the money, the woman filed case against him.
