Koraput: CUO celebrates Dola Paraba


The Central University of Odisha, Koraput celebrated Dola Parab the celebration of Colours in a befitting manner at its campus, Sunabeda.

Prof. Chakradhar Tripathi, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor of the University inaugurated the function and addressed the students, faculty members and officials. He elaborated about the Dola Parab, Fagu khela and Indian culture in his address.

He said, “For the first time, on the occasion of Dola Parab and Holi celebrations on the university campus, all the students have determined to focus on research and studies. We have rich characteristics and culture and tradition, It cannot compared with the other countries. Realizing this, students will play an important role in the development of the University and the country.

” On this occasion, Madam Vice Chancellor’s Dr. Vasant Manjari Kar and Administrative and Academic Advisor Prof. Shudhendu Mandal present with him on the dais.

On this occasion, traditional dances and songs were performed and students, faculty members and officials greeted each other by different colours with joy and gaiety. Everyone danced to the tunes of Koraput’s favourite Dhemsa folk dance. Dr. Kakoli Banerjee and Dr. Rudrani Mohanty coordinated the programme.

C.C Patnaik, Prof. Jatin Soni, Dr. Pradosh Kumar Rath, Dr. Sourav Gupta, Dr. Jayanta Kumar Nayak, Dr. Debabrata Panda, Dr. Ganesh Prasad Sahu, Dr. Sanjit Kumar Das, Dr. Minati Sahu, Dr. Alok Baral, Dr. B.N. Pradhan, Dr. Phagunath Bhoi, Pradeep K. Samantray, Barada Prasad Routray, Madan Mohan Patra along with students, researchers and faculty of all departments were present.
