Oscar for “Natu Natu” song of SS Rajamouli’s RRR

SS Rajamouli’s RRR has created history after Naatu Naatu has won the Oscar in the Best Song category.

It won the Best Original Song at the 95th Academy Awards.

It had to beat the other nominees in the category which included Applause (Tell It Like a Woman), Hold My Hand (Top Gun Maverick), Lift Me Up (Black Panther Wakanda Forever), and This is a Life (Everything Everywhere All at Once).

Music director MM Keeravaani accepted the award.

Music composer M.M. Keeravaani said on receiving the honour: “Thank you Academy. I grew up listening to the carpenter here I am at the Oscars. There was only one wish on my mind… So was Rajamouli’s and my family… ‘RRR’, pride of every Indian. Thank you.”

The film also had a live performance at the event. Actor Deepika Padukone, who was one of the Oscar presenters this year, announced the Live Performance with Lauren Gottlieb dancing to RRR’s Naatu Naatu.

‘Naatu Naatu’ has already won a Golden Globe and a Critics Choice Award this year.
