Bhubaneswar: Institute of Dental Sciences (IDS), faculty of dental sciences of Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan (SOA), has been conferred with the ‘Most Innovative Dental College’ award at the recently concluded Oral Health Innovation Conclave at New Delhi.
Dr. Rajiv Chugh, National President of the Indian Dental Association (IDA), presented the award to Prof. Neeta Mohanty, Dean of IDS.
The conclave, which was organised by IDA and mentored by NiTi Ayog, provided an excellent platform for the stakeholders and policymakers drawn from Dental Council of India, WHO, ICMR, CSIR, FDI, BIRAC and DRDO and various dental colleges and industries to interact directly.
Dr. Luv Aggarwal, Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, was the chief guest at the conclave.
Prof. Mohanty delivered the keynote lecture on ‘Steering Innovation Through Evidence Based Result’ while Dr. Lora Mishra, Dr. Saurav Panda, Dr. Rupsa Das, Dr. Swagatika Panda and Officer on Special Duty Mr. Pritam Nayak showcased the institute and SOA’s achievements through an aesthetically designed booth.
Students and interns of IDS also actively participated in the event and presented their research papers and posters which received high appreciation from the judges.
