Odisha: Encouraging changes in DACP for OMHS cadre medical officers


Bhubaneswar: There is a reason for cheer for medical officers in Odisha Medical and Health Services (OHMS) as the State Government after careful consideration of their long felt need has brought out `stirring changes in the Dynamic Assured Career Progression ( DACP) scheme assuring 4 career progressions /financial upgradations in the service period of a medical officer.

The government by invoking Rule 16 of ORSP Rules, 2017 has allowed 4 up-gradations on completion of 6, 12, 18, and 24 years.

Earlier 3 career progressions were allowed under DACP on completion of 7, 14, and 21 years.

Notifying the order, Secretary Health and Family Welfare Shalini Pandit hoped that this change would bring about more commitment and dedication among the officers of medical community. The years of service for career progressin would be counted on the basis of the years of regular service from the direct entry level recruited through Odisha Public Service Commission.

The revised DACP provides the following:
