SOA Chancellor DP Ray passes away

Bhubaneswar: Prof. (Dr.) Debi Prasad Ray, Chancellor of Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan (SOA) Deemed to be University, passed away at the IMS and Sum Hospital, Bhubaneswar on Saturday.

Prof. D. P. Ray passed away at 11:36 AM today at the IMS and Sum Hospital.

“We deeply mourn his passing away and pray to the Almighty that the noble soul may rest in peace at the heavenly abode,” SOA said.

Prof. (Dr.) Ray was previously two time Vice-Chancellor of the Odisha University of Agriculture and Technology (OUAT) in Bhubaneswar. He succeeds Prof. (Dr.) Khageswar Pradhan who served as Chancellor of the University since 2011.
