Three killed in road accident in Nabarangpur

Nabarangpur: At least three persons were killed and a woman sustained injuries after the car they were travelling in crashed against a roadside tree in Odisha’s Nabarangpur district on Friday.

The identities of the deceased persons are yet to be known.

As per reports, the mishap took place at Basini Chhak on Umerkote-Jharigaon main road when the victims were returning from Jagdalpur after attending a marriage function.

The driver lost control over the wheel and the ill-fated vehicle crashed against a roadside tree leading to the death of three on the spot, sources said.

On getting the information, police arrived at the spot and recovered the bodies. Subsequently, they were sent for post-mortem.

The injured woman was rushed to a nearby health facility for treatment.
