Five held with four elephant tusks in Odisha

Mayurbhanj: Forest officials arrested five wildlife smugglers and seized four elephant tusks from their possession in the Jashipur area of Odisha’s Mayurbhanj district last night.

The identities of the arrestees have not been disclosed by the official.Acting on a tip-off, a team from the Forest Department conducted a raid at Jamukeswar village in Jashipur last night and arrested the smugglers.

During a search, the officials also recovered four elephant tusks from their possession and seized them.
