BMC: 416 additional posts sanctioned for Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Friday sanctioned 416 additional posts for Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC). 

The Chief Minister expressed hope that the corporation will be more efficient and effective with the addition of new posts.

Earlier, there were 210 sanctioned posts in BMC, with the creation of these additional 416 posts, its total number of posts increased to 626.

Key Information:

Additional Commissioner: Previously, there was a single post for Additional Commissioner. This has now been enhanced with the creation of three more, taking the total to 4.

Zonal Commissioner: New to the department, 6 positions for Zonal Commissioner have been introduced.

Deputy Commissioner: An additional 13 Deputy Commissioner posts have been created, increasing the total to 16 from the earlier 3.

Assistant Sanitation Commissioner: With 4 existing positions, 9 more have been added, bringing the total to 13.
