Dharmendra participates in ‘Run for Unity’


Cuttack: Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Tuesday participated in the ‘Run for Unity’, on the occasion of Rashtriya Ekta Diwas (National Unity Day) in Odisha’s Cuttack district.

The marathon aims to invoke the feeling of peace and harmony among the fellow citizens of the country.

“Sardar Patel will forever live in the heart of every Indian. We remember and bow to him for his monumental efforts towards unifying the country and shaping its destiny. Grateful to the people of Cuttack for their enthusiasm for celebrating the jayanti of one of our greatest national icons. Today, on  #RashtriyaEktaDiwas, let us all reiterate the pledge to strengthen our social fabric and make India a self-reliant and developed nation by 2047,” posted the Minister on X.

Every year, October 31 is observed as National Unity Day.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi also paid tribute to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel on his birth anniversary.

“On the Jayanti of Sardar Patel, we remember his indomitable spirit, visionary statesmanship and the extraordinary dedication with which he shaped the destiny of our nation. His commitment to national integration continues to guide us. We are forever indebted to his service,’ PM Modi posted on X.
