Despite the challenging times during the COVID-19 years, SUMUM achieved the NABL and HACCP accreditation within 2 years of inception and NABH accreditation within 365 days. It is also the first hospital in India to have achieved the 5th edition NABH accreditation.
SUMUM has treated over 1,65,000 patients, and conducted more than 17,50,000 diagnostics in the last four years. SUMUM wrote a new page in Odisha’s medical history when multiple organs harvested from a brain dead patient was rushed to three different cities for transplantation providing a new lease of life to four critical patients last year.
With full cooperation from the administration and police, the organ retrieval process involved a team of highly skilled doctors and the entire operation was executed with utmost precision and expertise.
