Bhubaneswar: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has unveiled the names of three contenders for the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections in Odisha.
Among the nominees, Bhartruhari Mahtab, a six-term Member of Parliament who recently aligned with the BJP, is set to contest from the Cuttack Lok Sabha constituency.
Sukant Kumar Panigrahi has been designated as the BJP’s candidate for the Kandhamal Lok Sabha seat, while Rabindra Narayan Behera will carry the BJP’s banner in the Jajpur Lok Sabha constituency.
Earlier, the BJP had already announced 18 other candidates for various constituencies in Odisha. Notably, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan will vie for the Sambalpur seat. The party has also included four women candidates in its lineup: Aparajita Sarangi (Bhubaneswar), Sangeeta Kumari Deo (Bolangir), Malvika Keshari Deo (Kalahandi), and Anita Subhadarshini (Aska).
