Bhubaneswar: Continuing its excellent march as the most preferred digital service provider, Reliance Jio crossed 1.5 crore mobile subscribers mark in Odisha, as per the latest telecom subscriber data released by Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI).
As per the data, Jio added over 87000 new mobile subscribers taking its total number mobile subscribers on Jio network in Odisha to over 1.5 crores, as on February 29, 2024. Jio added the highest number of new mobile subscribers in Odisha, in the month of February.
Nationally, Jio also added the highest 36 lakh subscribers in February, taking the total number of mobile subscribers on Jio network to over 46.75 crores, cornering over 40% mobile subscriber market share in the industry.
It is worth mentioning that Reliance Jio has been the No. 1 and most preferred digital service provider in Odisha with nearly 45% subscriber market share and 52% revenue market share in the industry. The rapid and continuous rise in the number of Jio subscribers in the state has been fuelled by its largest 4G and 5G network presence across the state, fast expansion of into the hitherto unconnected regions and the immense popularity of the ultra-affordable JioBharat 4G phone available at just Rs. 999/-, with access to premium applications like JioSaavn, JioCinema, JioTV and UPI payment facility etc.
